Andersen will patrol the home crease Tuesday in Game 5 against the Islanders, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Andersen made 32 saves Saturday in a 3-2 double-overtime loss to the Islanders in Game 4 of the Hurricanes' first-round series.
The first NHL goaltender born in Denmark knows how to put wins on the board: he was the fourth-fastest netminder in league history to earn 200 victories and could double that total before he is through. He is big and strong, takes up a lot of net and, at his best, rarely gives shooters much space. He has to prove he can stay healthy over longer stretches and is probably best in a market where he is not in the spotlight constantly.
